Welcome to the "Plugged In" section of Youth@TGH. Here you will find weekly updates on what we are studying, upcoming events, special announcements, and much more. Check in weekly to stay up to date with Youth@TGH Hello! This week we will be continuing to hone our detective skills as we explore different types of evidences - direct and circumstantial. As we explore John 10:22-33 (and several other passages in John, 1 John, 1 & 2 Peter, and Luke) we will discover how both types of evidences are recorded in the Bible. While looking at the evidence we will start to think about how we can determine the reliability of witnesses. This crucial skill is a foundational part of explaining the validity of the Bible. Next week we will delve deeper into the study of witnesses so that we are best able to understand, and explain, the gospels. Join us Thursday evening for Youth@TGH! Don't forget to stop into The Hub on Friday to play some games, hang out, and enjoy some fresh coffee! See you tomorrow! Welcome to the "Plugged In" section of Youth@TGH. Last week we began the Cold-Case Christianity series. We explored the definition of "faith" and the role that evidence plays in our definition. Conversations sparked as we discussed the difference between what is "possible" vs what is "reasonable". As we continue this week to look at the techniques detectives use to solve cold-cases, we will learn to apply the same "Abductive Reasoning" to explain the validity of Christ's Resurrection. Do you think you have enough evidence (beyond your personal experience) to demonstrate to others that God exists of that Christianity is true? What kind of evidence would you share? See you this evening!
