This week Youth will meet on Zoom at 7:00 PM. Before you log in on Thursday, please watch “Overcoming Anxiety During COVID-19 Session 1 Anxiety about the Uncontrollable” with Jonathan Pokluda. The ten-minute video clip will give you some important things to think about and may help you in answering some difficult questions. We will try to make a better sense of what is going on in our world right now and talk about some concrete, biblically inspired approaches to living through it.
https://www.rightnowmedia.org/Content/Series/394369 I will text or email parents the code and password for Zoom. Please have any parents who are interested in having their youth participate contact me through text or email me. If your internet connection is not fast enough, don’t worry about the microphone and video function, please use the text chat function. Please have your parent or guardian reach out to me if you do not have access to Right Now Media or are having trouble logging in. - Scott Hello,

Hello, This Thursday we will be having a movie night with Youth@TGH. Christmas goodies will be served and we will be extending our time to 9 pm to ensure we have enough time to finish the movie. If you'd like to bring a snack to share, feel free (but no pressure). Thank you to all the youth who came out on Saturday to volunteer their time helping the Rocky Road Dog Rescue with their fundraiser. There were many complements on how professional you were and such wonderful people to work with! We are proud of you and love seeing your commitment to our community. We would also like to take this time to thank our committed youth leader volunteers for their support during the 2019 season. We look forward to continue working with you in 2020. Thank you for your commitment in helping to shape the lives of our youth! This will be the last Youth@TGH for 2019. It will resume on Thursday, January 9th, 2020! Coming Soon: Scott Hopkins, the Youth Director at TGH, will be scheduling time to meet with individuals and/or smaller groups of Youth@TGH participants. He will be in touch with parents/guardians with further details and to schedule a time to meet with youth outside of Thursday evenings. Update on The Hub: We are so excited to share that the Hub is seeing more action! Both TGH youth and friends from the community are coming out to play games and hang out. Look forward to another movie night in December, and a possible Mario Cart tournament (if we can locate the wii version in the next week or so) in the coming weeks. See you tonight! Check in weekly to stay up to date with Youth@TGH Hello, Youth@TGH is cancelled this Thursday, October 31st, 2019. Have a safe evening and stop by The Hub on Friday, Nov. 1st, 2019 for a free movie night! Welcome to the "Plugged In" section of Youth@TGH. Here you will find weekly updates on what we are studying, upcoming events, special announcements, and much more. Check in weekly to stay up to date with Youth@TGH Hello! Have you ever caught someone in a lie? What are some of the clues that led you to believe they were being deceptive? What are some ways you determine the reliability of a fact/story/statement? How can we determine if the witnesses to Jesus' resurrection can be believed? In this era of "false news" or "fake news" it is becoming an increasing challenge to prove a claim. As we continue to explore different types of evidences - direct and circumstantial, we will start to consider how we can determine the reliability of witnesses. Join us tonight at Youth@TGH for fun, games, snacks, and interesting discussions! Don't forget to stop into The Hub on Friday to play some games, hang out, and enjoy some fresh coffee! Looking Ahead: Friday, November 1st, 2019 - Free Movie Night @ The Hub! |
